Product Info Small size conveyor chain

Small size conveyor chain are chains for small transport applications that incorporate attachments into Drive chain or double pitch chain.
There is a wide variety of attachments available, and by adding slats, bars, special jigs, etc., it is possible to transport items of any shape.
The intermeshing drive eliminates slippage and allows for a wide range of operation depending on the conveyor length, transport direction, and operating environment.

Chain conveyor features and precautions

  • -Can transport items of almost any shape.
  • - Can be adapted to a wide range of conveyor lengths, transport directions, and operating environments.
  • - There is no slippage, allowing for precise driving.
  • - It has the advantages of being highly durable and efficient.

[Notes]

  • *While non-slipness is an advantage, care must be taken when selecting a product for applications where it will be subject to impact.
  • *Due to the meshing mechanism between the chain and sprocket, there are speed fluctuations due to its characteristics.

Small size conveyor chain types and structures

Double pitch

  • - Compared to the RS type with attachment, the chain pitch is double (Double pitch) and the plate shape is flat.
  • - There are two types of rollers: R rollers and S rollers, which can be used depending on the application.
  • -Double pitch pitch sprockets and RS sprockets (S rollers with 30 or more teeth) can be used.
  • -Suitable for relatively long distance, low speed transport.

RS Attachment Chains

  • - This is a chain with an attachment attached to an RS roller chain (for transmission) type plate.
  • - The chain pitch is small, so small items can be transported at small intervals, making it generally suitable for short-distance transport.
  • - Fast, smooth and quiet driving.
  • - In most cases, RS sprockets can be used.

1. Plate 2. Pin
Parts photos This is one of the parts that bears the tension acting on the chain. The precision of the holes into which the pins or bushes are press fit determines the quality of the chain, so they are machined particularly precisely to create a tough plate with high fatigue strength and impact resistance. Parts photos Both ends of the pin are press fit into holes in the outer plate and secured with rivets (Hollow Pin chains and Poly-steel chain are only press fit). The pins are subjected to shearing and bending forces through the plate, and when the chain articulate, they act as the axis of the bushing and slide, so strength and wear resistance are the main priorities when manufacturing.
3. Bush 4. Roller
Parts photos Both ends of the bushing are press fit fitted into the inner plate and act as bearings for the pin and roller. Although it is subjected to complex forces through each part, it is finished with a highly wear-resistant specification. Parts photos The rollers are slip fit into the bushings, which absorb the shock when meshing with the sprocket, and roll when the chain is running, allowing the chain to move smoothly and helping to reduce running resistance. Wear resistance is important.
5. Attachment 6. spring clip and cotter pins
Parts photos Bolt holes are provided. For details, please refer to the standard attachment types. Parts photos spring clip and cotter pin are important parts that prevent connecting link plate from falling off and maintain the chain's original strength. Be sure to install them properly.
7. Inner link 8. outer link
Parts photos The two bushings are press fit fitted into the inner plate at both ends to form Inner link. Rollers are slip fit onto the outer periphery of the bushings. Parts photos Both ends of the two pins are press fit into the outer plate. After press fit, the ends of all pins except for the connecting link are riveted to prevent them from coming loose (Hollow Pin / Poly-steel chain are only press fit).
The three basic dimensions slip fit press fit
Pitch, roller diameter, and Inner link width are the three basic dimensions of a roller chain.
When these dimensions are the same, the roller chain and sprocket are dimensionally compatible.
A fit in which there is always a gap when the shaft and hole are combined. A fit in which the hole tolerance range is completely above the shaft (pin or bushing) tolerance range. A fit that always creates interference when the shaft and hole are combined.
A fit in which the tolerance range of the hole is completely below the tolerance range of the shaft (pin or bushing).
