Chain type pin gear

To achieve linear motion or large-radius rotational motion, a drive such as a chain or gear is used, passing through a reducer from the driving source (such as a motor).

Chains require a large space, and gears require precision machining, which can lead to problems such as high costs. Pin gears are ideal for such situations.

Instead of a gear drive wheel, a chain with an attachment is wrapped around the outer periphery of the drum to form a wheel, and a specially processed sprocket is used for the pinion gear.

For linear motion, a chain with attachments is used in place of a rack, mounted in a straight line.

Comparing it with the gear rack system, it is roughly as follows:

Pin gear sprockets require special tooth profiles because they mesh with a different chain than regular winding transmission chains.

We have adopted this special tooth profile based on our own theory to minimize backlash and achieve smooth meshing.

In particular, for internal and external circumferential chains, the tooth profile is changed according to the mounting diameter of the mating pin gear chain to achieve optimal pin gear drive.
