RS type chain with outboard roller

- This is a free-flow chain in which the pins of an RS chain are extended and free-rotating outboard roller are attached to them.
- Since multiple outboard roller can be attached, it is suitable for conveyors that directly carry small transported items.
- We have Standard Series, lambda (Lube-free) specifications, SS (stainless steel) specifications, and Poly-steel chain combination specifications.
- * NP Series (nickel plating) are also available, so please contact us for details.
Features
- - Equipped with outboard roller, it is suitable for making conveyors more compact.
- - Back venting is possible, making the return side layout easier.
- -Since multiple outboard roller can be attached, it is also suitable for conveyors that place small transported items directly on outboard roller.

About each specification
Standard Series
- ・The chain body is made of steel. The main rollers are also made of steel as standard.
- -All parts of the chain body are made of heat-treated hardened steel.
- Outboard roller are available in engineering plastic rollers (Plastic Roller, plastic brake rollers, conductive rollers) and steel rollers.
- ・使用温度範囲:-10℃~150℃
- ・Lubricating is required.
Lambda (Lube-free) specification
- - By using special oil-impregnated bush, it can be used for a long period of time Lube-free.
*The steel outboard roller require oiling. - -allowable tension is the same as Standard Series, but the inner and outer plates are black oxide finish for identification purposes.
- ・使用温度範囲:-10℃~150℃
- - Avoid using in chemicals, underwater, or in cleaning or degreasing environments.
- Outboard roller are available in engineering plastic rollers (Plastic Roller, plastic brake rollers, conductive rollers) and steel rollers.
SS (stainless steel) specifications
- - All parts except the pin (precipitation hardened stainless steel) are made of 18-8 stainless steel and are corrosion resistant.
- - The chain body and body rollers are made of stainless steel and are corrosion resistant.
- ・使用温度範囲:-20℃~400℃
- ・Lubricating is required.
Poly-steel chain specification
- - It consists of Inner link made of engineering plastic and an 18-8 stainless steel outer link (the pin is precipitation hardened stainless steel).
- -Lube-free and corrosion resistant.
- -Lightweight: 50% less noise than steel, low noise: 5db less noise than steel.
- ・使用温度範囲:-20℃~80℃
- ・There is no offset link. The engineering plastic color is white.

Note
1. For convenience, the term "chain body" refers to the entire chain excluding outboard roller.
2. *1 Even if the chain itself is a lambda type, the steel outboard roller must be oiled.
3. *2 Only outboard roller mounting pin is made of precipitation hardened stainless steel.
4. When the conductive roller and chain body are NP Series, the brake is a spring brake.
5. If outboard roller are KV rollers, the main rollers will be S rollers.
6. *3 If the chain body is SS Series, the rollers will be stainless steel.
When selecting sprocket specifications
It is necessary to select a sprocket specification that corresponds to the customer's operating environment and chain specifications.
RS chains with outboard roller cannot be used with small tooth counts (see table below) as the sprocket hub will come into contact with outboard roller, making RS sprockets incompatible.
If you are using a sprocket with a small number of teeth, please modify the hub diameter of the RS sprocket to the dimensions shown in the table below, or use the RS sprocket as is for any other number of teeth.
You can.
