  • A steel chain consisting only of plates and pins.
  • It is primarily suitable for hanging, balancing and motion transmission applications.
  • There are two types: the AL type for light loads and the BL type for heavy loads, and the dimensions and plate combinations differ.
  • Also known as a balance chain. Compliant with JIS standards.

Structure

  • -Leaf chain consist only of plates and pins.

    The plates are connected by pins and bear the tension applied to the chain.

    The outer plate and pin are press fit and the pin is riveting, while the inner and intermediate plates and pin are slip fit fitted.

    The pin receives shear force through the plate, and at the same time, when the chain articulate, it slides along the inner surface of the hole in the inner plate.

AL type

Mainly for light loads.

The outer plate dimensions and thickness are the same as those of the outer plates of RS roller chain with the same pitch.

The pin outer diameter is also almost the same as that of RS roller chain pins with the same pitch.

The plate combinations are as follows:

BL type

Mainly for heavy loads.

The plate width is the same as the inner plate of RS roller chain with the same pitch, and the plate thickness is the same as that of RS roller chain with a pitch one size larger.

The pin outer diameter is also approximately the same as that of RS roller chain with a pitch one size larger.
