overview

By adopting DCBL Hypoid Motor-equipped gearbox for the shuffle conveyor on the production line, we have achieved precise speed control and a wide adjustment range, which was difficult with conventional crank mechanisms.

This allows for flexible adaptation to changes in the type of material being transported, significantly improving the operational efficiency of the line.

The design flexibility of the drive unit is also increased, making it easier to adapt to specification changes and line improvements.

Problem

The shuffle conveyors installed on the production line have previously employed a drive system that combines a crank mechanism, motor, and reduction gear.

However, this configuration presented challenges, including limited design flexibility, difficulty in making fine adjustments according to the conveyed material, and inability to easily change the speed.

Furthermore, the crank mechanism is prone to generating vibrations and noise, and there was room for improvement in terms of making the entire line quieter and ensuring stable operation.

Adopted products

DCBL Hypoid Motor

This is DCBL gear motor with a hypoid gearhead that prioritizes compactness through right-angle shaft.

It is equipped with communication functions and can be controlled in various ways.

Although it's called DCBL Hypoid Motor, it's actually a motor that runs on AC power.

*It is called DCBL Hypoid Motor because of its operating principle.

*The motor and driver must be used together.

Shuffle conveyor

This unique conveyor can transport a variety of objects through repeated reciprocating motion.

Unlike vibrating conveyors, there is no vertical bouncing or impact.

The transported items move smoothly across the tray.

Even with high-temperature or heavy objects, abrasive materials, or materials containing moisture that could cause the equipment to rust, we can handle them by using stainless steel, thicker steel plates, or wear-resistant steel.

Benefits of adopting the product

By adopting DCBL Hypoid Motor in the shuffle conveyor's drive unit, the accuracy and adjustment range of speed control have been significantly improved. Fine speed adjustments and speed changes according to conveying conditions, which were previously difficult, have become easy, allowing for flexible handling of various types of conveyed materials.

Furthermore, the low vibration and low noise characteristics unique to DCBL Hypoid Motor result in smoother conveyor operation and contribute to overall quieter operation of the line.

From a design perspective, the drive unit offers greater flexibility, resulting in a configuration that can easily accommodate future line improvements and specification changes.
