Previously, welding cables, control cables, and cooling water hoses for building material welding robots were simply bundled together using cable ties or similar, but this caused frequent problems with broken cables.
Here we have adopted ROBOTRAX, which can follow the robot's three-dimensional movements.
Problem
The problem was eliminating downtime caused by cable breakage and the labor involved in replacing them.
Inserting cables into tubular protective equipment is a hassle, so we were looking for protective equipment that was easy to handle and could follow three-dimensional movements.

Cable Carrier (CABLEVEYOR) Plastic Series 3D TKRB Type
This type allows Cable Carrier (CABLEVEYOR) body to move in three dimensions.
High allowable tension is achieved by incorporating a wire.
It is suitable for robots that operate in three dimensions.

By adopting ROBOTRAX, a structure that regulates bending of the links, we were able to protect the cables from excessive load and prevent breakage.
This product has a slit structure that not only provides protection but also makes it easy to insert cables and hoses, making it easy to handle.
