For the table rotation drive of AGVs equipped with a turntable mechanism, we have adopted an internal type Pin gear drive unit which is easier to install than a chain type pin gear.
Problem
I wanted to create a simple structure for the turntable rotation mechanism.

Pin gear drive Unit
This is a gear rack with rollers that transmits power through the meshing of pin gears and pins (rollers).
It has the same function as a gear or rack and pinion, and is a transmission part that converts rotation into linear motion or rotation into another type of rotational motion by combining a pin-mechanical wheel and rack with a special gear.
Benefits of adopting the product
We also considered using an internal gear, but the precision of the finished product did not meet our expectations.
On the other hand, Pin gear drive unit are manufactured with high precision even though they are internally mounted, making installation particularly easy and reducing labor costs.
