The steel chains used in the stacker cranes of our automated mushroom cultivation warehouse required frequent replacement. By adopting NEP Series, which offer both strength and corrosion resistance, we were able to reduce the frequency of replacements.
Problem
In an automated warehouse used for mushroom cultivation, steel chains that lacked corrosion resistance were being used. However, due to the high temperature and humidity environment, the steel oxidized prematurely, causing rust to form.
Furthermore, because moisture adhering to the rust accelerates corrosion, the chain had to be replaced very frequently, which required a significant amount of labor.
Therefore, we were considering replacing the chains with stainless steel chains, which have high corrosion resistance. However, compared to steel chains, stainless steel chains have lower strength (Maximum allowable load), so increasing the size would require rearranging the layout to free up space, which was causing us some difficulty.

By combining a special coating and a special resin coating, Drive chain maintains the strength of RS roller chain while offering high corrosion resistance (rust prevention) and chemical resistance.
Furthermore, the rust-preventive surface treatment does not use harmful hexavalent chromium, nor does it use any other harmful substances such as lead, cadmium, mercury, or arsenic, and complies with the RoHS Directive *.
