Achieving stable transport of large industrial furnaces using trolleys, while accommodating high temperatures and installation errors.
Pin gear drive Unit
overview
In the trolley transport equipment for industrial furnaces, prolonged use causes the trolley to shake due to changes in the gear meshing state.
A flexible drive system capable of operating in high-temperature environments and on concrete foundations was required, so Pin gear drive unit was used.
Problem
Because the drive mechanism was installed on a concrete surface, the conventional rack and pinion system would experience poor meshing between the pinion and gear due to changes in the ground conditions, causing vibrations during trolley movement and potentially leading to the pinion and gear disengaging.
Furthermore, because it was installed in a high-temperature environment very close to the furnace, precision was required for its installation into the equipment.
Adopted products
Pin gear drive Unit
Pin gear drive unit is ideal for the container's rotation and reversal mechanism.
Compared to gears, it allows for more flexible installation. Furthermore, the segmented design allows for manufacturing in any size, increasing design flexibility.
Benefits of adopting the product
By employing Pin gear drive unit that can tolerate misalignment between the pin rack and gears, we were able to avoid disengagement due to changes in the mounting surface and ensure stable operation of the equipment.
By adopting a flexible type with a high tolerance for misalignment, we were able to avoid clearance issues caused by thermal expansion and reduce the labor required during installation.
In addition, we also considered chain-type pin gears during the selection process, but ultimately decided on Pin gear drive unit because it offered advantages in terms of total cost, including the ease of mounting the pin rack.
