To eliminate oil leaks, the traction system was electrified. By adopting Linispeed Jack, we avoided increased design, assembly, and installation man-hours, while achieving high-speed, high-thrust lifting and lowering. The replacement was a success.
Problem
An oil leak occurred in a pallet lifting device using hydraulic cylinders, and we were considering environmental improvements through electrification. However, lifting objects weighing over 1 ton under the conditions of requiring a thrust of 15kN or more and an operating speed of 200mm/s was impossible with general-purpose screw jacks. Therefore, we considered designing a dedicated lifting mechanism in-house by combining Ball screw and motors, but we had concerns about the resources required, as the man-hours for parts selection, design, and assembly were expected to be enormous.

Linispeed Jack is Ball screw type jack that supports high-speed operation of up to 200 mm/s and high-frequency operation with 100% ED. It achieves constant thrust that allows for high-speed transport of large loads while maintaining a smaller size than conventional jacks, and its low-profile and compact design is achieved by integrating the ball nut into the gear case. It delivers high productivity in a space-saving manner, even in environments with strict equipment height restrictions.
Benefits of adopting the product
Linispeed Jack comfortably met our requirements, as it supports a maximum allowable thrust of 50kN and an operating speed of 200mm/s. Because it is a complete unit product, we did not need to design the mechanism from scratch, significantly reducing the design and assembly man-hours that had been a concern. This allowed us to smoothly transition away from hydraulic cylinders. As a result, we simultaneously eliminated the risk of workplace accidents due to oil leaks and reduced implementation costs (man-hours).
