The steam environment inside the continuous casting equipment made it difficult to refuel, and Drive chain were breaking after just six months.
By switching to the environmentally resistant Drive chain APP Series, the lifespan has been extended to 1.5 years, significantly reducing the risk of sudden stoppages. This has reduced maintenance man-hours and costs, and has resulted in stable operation and improved productivity of the casting line.
Problem
Drive chain used to drive the roller conveyors in the continuous casting equipment had corroded and kinked (poor bending) due to the harsh, steamy environment, and had reached the end of their lifespan in about six months.

This chain (surface treatment) protects the pins from pitting corrosion corrosion, which is the starting point for fatigue failure, by applying a special surface treatment to the pins that does not reduce their strength.
It is extremely effective in environments where corrosion is likely to be accelerated, such as outdoors or on the coast.
