To address the challenge of shortening cycle times due to increased product production, we electrified the hydraulic system using Linispeed Jack that combines high thrust and high-speed operation. By speeding up the operation from returning to the origin to starting machining, we improved productivity.
Problem
Due to the diversification of product varieties and the increase in production volume, improving the cycle time of existing hydraulic cylinder-based press fit equipment had become an urgent necessity. When considering electrification, we looked into general screw jacks, but it was difficult to increase the operating speed to 200 mm/s in order to meet the high load condition of using a thrust of 20 kN. If we prioritized thrust, the speed would be insufficient, and if we prioritized speed, the thrust would be insufficient, making it difficult to select an electric actuator that met the required specifications.

Linispeed Jack
Linispeed Jack is Ball screw type jack that supports high-speed operation of up to 200 mm/s and high-frequency operation with 100% ED. It achieves constant thrust that allows for high-speed transport of large loads while maintaining a smaller size than conventional jacks, and its low-profile and compact design is achieved by integrating the ball nut into the gear case. It delivers high productivity in a space-saving manner, even in environments with strict equipment height restrictions.
Benefits of adopting the product
By adopting Linispeed Jack, we were able to achieve a high thrust of 20kN while enabling high-speed operation of 200mm/s from homing to the start of machining. This significantly reduced idle time other than pressurization, and we succeeded in shortening the target cycle time. In addition, the change from hydraulic to servo motor drive has made it easier to set detailed conditions for each product type, improving operational flexibility.
