As the workpiece is located near the gear coupling in use, there was a risk of defective products being produced due to oil and grease.
By replacing the coupling with ATRAFLEX, lubrication is no longer necessary, eliminating the risk of defective products. Furthermore, the resin insert absorbs vibrations, reducing the load on other parts and extending their lifespan.
Problem
During maintenance of gear couplings, there was a risk of defective products being produced if lubricating grease leaked and oil adhered to the workpiece.
In addition, metal couplings do not absorb vibrations well, so vibrations from the driven and driving machines are transmitted to other parts such as bearings, shortening the lifespan of those parts.

ATRAFLEX Coupling AFT Series
A wrap-around type coupling that uses a resin insert.
The insert can be easily replaced by splitting the notched insert.
The structure prevents metal from sliding against metal, so no lubrication is required and it can be used without replacing the hub.
It is compatible with large torque (up to 29380N・m) and shaft hole diameter (up to 184mm), making it ideal for use in medium to large equipment.

By replacing it with ATRAFLEX, which has a structure where there is no sliding between metals, lubrication is no longer necessary, and there is no longer any need to worry about defective products due to oil or grease leaks.
