overview
This is an example of solving cable problems in the transportation process at a coal storage yard. The conventional cable reel system was replaced with the "TKHP-R type." This eliminates the risk of derailment or breakage in harsh environments and significantly reduces maintenance burden. This solution is also expected to be applied to long-distance transport equipment at mining sites and various plants.
Problem
In the process of transporting coal to the underground belt conveyor, a claw cart was operated using a cable reel system (travel length: 200m).
However, due to the structure of the system, which requires the cable to be constantly wound up, it was difficult to identify damaged areas, and the large number of specialized parts made maintenance an issue.
Furthermore, years of use had allowed coal dust and clumps to get between the cable and the guide rollers, causing frequent cable derailments and equipment shutdowns. In a harsh outdoor environment where dust is flying everywhere, the cost of procuring specialized cables and the increased burden of maintenance and inspections due to unexpected problems were major factors hindering productivity.

The rolling structure with built-in rollers allows for smooth running, allowing for frequent and high-speed running.
The inner width can be set in 1mm increments, so it can be adjusted to suit the space required by the customer.

Benefits of adopting the product
The cable reel type was replaced with the TKHP-R type, which is suitable for long-distance, heavy-load transport. It has been in stable operation without maintenance for about a year since its introduction.
The TKHP-R model does not require installation space for a reel drum, allowing for compact installation, and it can be placed at a height that prevents coal from scattering, reducing the risk of wire breakage.
In addition, dedicated cables and parts are no longer necessary, and multiple general-purpose cables can be used together, reducing the cost of managing spare parts. Daily inspections have become easier, and the on-site maintenance burden has been significantly reduced.
