In the steaming process of kamaboko (fish cake) production, we previously used stainless steel chains, but to reduce the labor required for replacement due to wear and stretching, we adopted the LSK specification, which can be used in temperature environments up to 180°C.
Problem
The steaming process for the formed kamaboko (fish cake) requires a high-temperature, high-humidity environment, so we were using stainless steel chains designed for special atmospheres. However, stainless steel chains have a lower Maximum allowable load than steel chains and are prone to stretching due to wear, which was a concern as it resulted in a lot of adjustment and replacement work after installation.

This time, by adopting resin parts between the pins and bushings, and using the LSK specification which offers high lubrication effect, strong resistance to wear and elongation, and can be used up to 180°C, we have succeeded in significantly reducing wear and elongation, and have been able to greatly reduce the amount of chain adjustment work and replacement frequency.
