Lambda Chain KF Series

Lambda Chain was used in the water heater arm of the aluminum melting furnace, but as it was reaching the end of its life in a short period of time, Lambda Chain KF Series which can be used in high temperature environments, was adopted.
Problem
The area around the chain that runs on the water heater arm that draws aluminum from the aluminum melting furnace and pours it into the mold is extremely hot, making it impossible to perform maintenance such as oiling.
For this reason, due to the effects of special oil-impregnated bush, we had been using the Lambda Chain (Lube-free Drive chain) available at Lube-free. However, since molten aluminum reaches temperatures exceeding 600°C, the Lambda Chain in the water heater suffered heat damage, causing the oil impregnated in the bushings to be depleted and resulting in a lack of lubrication. This led to rapid wear and the end of its service life within a short period, necessitating replacement costs.

This chain is ideal for applications where chain lubrication is difficult and for use in high-temperature environments (150°C to 230°C).
The bushings of Lambda Chain KF Series are impregnated with a special lubricant that is resistant to evaporation and deterioration, eliminating the need for chain oiling.
Benefits of adopting the product
We replaced the water heater arm component (Lambda Chain) with the Lambda Chain KF Series, which features a bushing impregnated with a special lubricant that resists volatilization and degradation even in high-temperature environments (150°C to 230°C). This successfully extended the service life and reduced replacement labor and costs.
