overview

By employing Power Cylinder for the opening and closing motion of the pesticide sprayer's boom, the piping required in conventional hydraulic systems is eliminated, improving maintainability. Because it operates solely on electricity, it is less susceptible to temperature fluctuations, enabling stable operation even in outdoor work.

Problem

The boom opening and closing mechanism used hydraulic cylinders, but this presented maintenance challenges due to the need for hydraulic oil management and oil leak checks from the piping. Furthermore, because agricultural pesticide sprayers are used outdoors, they are susceptible to temperature changes, which can sometimes lead to unstable operation of the hydraulic mechanism, making reliability a challenge.

Adopted products

Power Cylinder F Series

This is a simple electric cylinder that can be used with a battery and has a rated thrust of 100N or more.

It has a compact design with the actuator and motor sections intersecting at right angles.

Rated thrust: 100N to 6.00kN

Rated speed: 8-54mm/s

Benefits of adopting the product

The adoption of Power Cylinder eliminates the need for hydraulic system management, improving maintainability. Furthermore, because it is electrically powered, its operation is unaffected by large temperature fluctuations, resulting in smooth boom opening and closing, as well as reliable folding after work.
