In wastewater treatment equipment installed in sewage treatment plants, an oil bath type chain was used in the drive mechanism. However, this presented challenges such as space constraints, the need for larger structures including lubrication equipment, and increased installation costs.
Therefore, by switching to Lube-free Lambda Chain that does not rely on lubrication equipment, we achieved space savings and reduced installation costs.
In addition, it reduces the risk of wear due to insufficient lubrication, decreases the frequency of replacements, and reduces maintenance man-hours.
Problem
The wastewater treatment equipment installed in the sewage treatment plant used an oil bath type chain in its drive mechanism.
However, limitations on installation space, the resulting large structure including refueling equipment, and installation costs were challenges.
Against this backdrop, there was a need for a drive chain that did not rely on lubrication equipment, could be used in a small space, and had a long lifespan.

Lambda Chain
Lambda Chain can be used Lube-free thanks to the effect of special oil-impregnated bush.
Both the inner and outer plates are blackened to give them some corrosion resistance and a luxurious finish.
It can be used in temperatures ranging from -10°C to 150°C.

By switching from an oil bath system to Lambda Chain that can be used Lube-free, lubrication equipment is no longer required, resulting in space savings and reduced installation costs.
