The IoT-enabled gear motor allows for continuous monitoring of the equipment's operating status, enabling easy preventative maintenance.
Hypoid Motor HMTA IoT Specification
overview
To improve the safe operation and maintainability of the sludge dewatering machine, we introduced a gear motor with IoT functionality. As a result, we can now constantly monitor the power, temperature, and vibration inside the motor, understand the operating status numerically, and detect signs of abnormalities early. By preventing stoppages and troubles, we are improving the reliability of the entire system.
Problem
Sludge dewatering machines are prone to large load fluctuations, making them susceptible to sudden blockages and abnormal vibrations. Traditionally, maintenance relied on routine inspections, making it difficult to detect signs of problems. As a result, many issues were overlooked, leading to malfunctions and unexpected shutdowns.
Adopted products
Hypoid Motor HMTA IoT Specification
This model integrates power, temperature, and vibration sensors into a gear motor. While typically adding sensors requires additional wiring, this model features the ability to monitor the motor's condition without any extra wiring. Its communication capabilities allow for simultaneous monitoring of multiple gear motors, and it automatically stops and records data in case of abnormalities, supporting maintenance decisions.
Benefits of adopting the product
Real-time monitoring of motor status enables early detection of abnormalities and predictive maintenance. Automatic shutdown in response to overload or overheating prevents equipment damage and significantly reduces downtime. Furthermore, the use of recorded data facilitates root cause analysis, leading to increased efficiency in maintenance work and improved operational performance.
