overview
FLATVEYOR were adopted for the purpose of protecting, supporting, and guiding internal cables in the horizontally and vertically rotating heads of large machining centers.
The adoption of FLATVEYOR resulted in a more compact head section and reduced inertia, enabling high-speed machining.
Problem
In developing the next generation of large machining centers, there was a need to improve equipment capacity by making the head unit more compact, thereby differentiating ourselves from competitors.
However, with general-purpose Cable Carrier (CABLEVEYOR) and structures with circular travel arrangement that restricts cables and tubes from bending in an S-shape, the large amount of space required for Cable Carrier (CABLEVEYOR) 's movement was one of the factors hindering the miniaturization of the head unit.

This is a self-standing flat cable system that can handle Long travel length that cannot be achieved with flat cables.
Achieving ISO Class 1 cleanliness contributes to improved yield.
We do not use any specific hazardous substances exceeding the thresholds restricted by the European RoHS II Directive. (Excluding customer-supplied cables and tubes.)
Benefits of adopting the product
Because FLATVEYOR has a one-piece structure in which the cable tube and support member tube are welded together in a flat shape, it is easier to reduce the wiring space inside the head unit compared to conventional Cable Carrier (CABLEVEYOR), leading to a more compact head unit.
Furthermore, the compact design of the head unit reduces inertia, enabling high-speed machining.
