Linipower Jack
*Most jack problems are caused by improper lubrication, improper selection, or improper installation.
If any trouble occurs, please take appropriate measures according to this Troubleshooting guide.

| 1 | Gear case damage | |||
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Cause 1 | overload | countermeasure | Reduce the load or change the jack to one with the appropriate capacity. |
|---|---|---|---|
| Cause 2 | Inappropriate support | countermeasure | Install the jack on a sturdy base and center it accurately. |
| Cause 3 | impact | countermeasure | Install a shock absorber to prevent shocks. |
| 2 | Input shaft damage | |||
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Cause 1 | Poor centering | countermeasure | Use of a cylindrical coupling etc. may cause damage to the shaft. Please use a flexible coupling. |
|---|---|---|---|
| countermeasure | Adjust to the required concentricity. | ||
| Cause 2 | Excessive overhang load | countermeasure | Adjust the value so that it is equal to or less than the catalog value. |
| Cause 3 | overload | countermeasure | Please refer to Gear Case Damage 1. |
| Cause 4 | Shock load | countermeasure | Please use safety devices to prevent shock loads. |
| Cause 5 | Excessive input | countermeasure | When connecting several jacks in series, the input shaft of the first jack is limited by its shaft strength. If the strength exceeds the catalog value, reduce the load or change to a jack with a larger capacity. |
| 3 | Bearing damage | |||
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Cause 1 | overload | countermeasure | Please refer to Gear Case Damage 1. |
|---|---|---|---|
| Cause 2 | Excessive overhang load | countermeasure | Refer to input shaft damage 2. |
| Cause 3 | Coupling misalignment | countermeasure | Refer to Input shaft damage 1. |
| Cause 4 | Coupling axial direction adjustment | countermeasure | Adjust the position and length of the coupling so that no axial load is applied to the input shaft. |
| Cause 5 | External force acting on worm wheel bearings | countermeasure | The bearing is preloaded to a specified amount, but the input shaft can rotate freely when no load is connected. If it feels heavy, some force may be being applied to the input shaft in the axial direction, so remove it. |
| Cause 6 | Poor lubrication | countermeasure | Refer to Section 5. Maintenance and Inspection in this Instruction Manuals and perform the necessary lubrication. |
| Cause 7 | Impact load | countermeasure | Refer to 4. Input shaft damage. |
| 4 | Abnormal wear of the traveling nut or worm wheel | |||
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Cause 1 | overload | countermeasure | Please refer to Gear Case Damage 1. |
|---|---|---|---|
| Cause 2 | Poor lubrication | countermeasure | Please refer to bearing damage 6. |
| Cause 3 | Improper adjustment or installation | countermeasure | The load should be applied coaxially to the screw shaft. |
| 5 | Ball nut damage or abnormal wear | |||
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Cause 1 | overload | countermeasure | Please refer to Gear Case Damage 1. |
|---|---|---|---|
| Cause 2 | Improper adjustment or installation | countermeasure | The load should be applied coaxially to the screw shaft. |
| Cause 3 | Poor lubrication | countermeasure | Please refer to bearing damage 6. |
| Cause 4 | Poor selection | countermeasure | Please reconfirm the relationship between life and load in the catalog. |
| 6 | Damage to the screw shaft, abnormal wear, and abnormal noise from the screw shaft | |||
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Cause 1 | overload | countermeasure | Please refer to Gear Case Damage 1. |
|---|---|---|---|
| Cause 2 | Improper adjustment or installation | countermeasure | Please refer to Ball Nut Damage 2. |
| Cause 3 | Lateral load | countermeasure | Install a guide or similar to prevent lateral load from being applied. |
| Cause 4 | Poor lubrication | countermeasure | Please refer to bearing damage 6. |
| 7 | Gear case surface temperature abnormality (over 80°C) | |||
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Cause 1 | overload | countermeasure | Please refer to Gear Case Damage 1. |
|---|---|---|---|
| Cause 2 | Poor lubrication | countermeasure | Please refer to bearing damage 6. |
| Cause 3 | Poor centering | countermeasure | Refer to Input shaft damage 1. |
| countermeasure | Please refer to screw shaft damage 3. |
