Purpose of use and operation explanation

When the gate (floodgate) rises
The motor drives the drum through a reducer to rotate and raise the gate. At this time, the cam clutch idles and is disconnected from the water brake or fan brake, preventing unnecessary power loss during lifting.
When the gate (floodgate) is lowered
When the brake is released, the gate begins to descend under its own weight. At this time, the cam clutch automatically engages, rotating the water brake or fan brake. This operation limits the gate's descent speed to a certain level. Also, when the gate reaches the bottom of the river, the reducer shaft stops, but the water brake or fan brake continues to rotate due to inertia. At this time, the cam clutch automatically idles to prevent damage to the shaft.
Advantages of using a Cam Clutch
