The end of the conveyor is tilted by Zip Chain Actuator, reducing the burden on loading workers.
Zip Chain Actuator
overview
We adopted Zip Chain Actuator for the boxing process of products flowing from the floor conveyor. By tilting the end of the conveyor, the height of the input opening can be adjusted according to the height of the boxes, reducing the burden on workers and the risk of workplace accidents. In addition, it achieves both a compact installation and high positioning accuracy.
Problem
Traditionally, products were manually packed into boxes of varying sizes while the conveyor belt height remained constant. This meant that when the boxes were large, the products had to be lifted to a high position, placing a significant physical burden on workers and increasing the risk of workplace accidents.
Adopted products
Zip Chain Actuator
Unprecedented high-speed, high-frequency, low-profile, long-life actuator
Zip Chain Actuator is an actuator that performs linear motion by interlocking two chains like a zipper.
The compact body design achieves overwhelming space savings compared to conventional linear actuator.
It is compatible with high-speed and high-frequency operation and is capable of highly accurate multi-point stopping.
Compared to hydraulic and pneumatic cylinders, it can significantly reduce the amount of power used, contributing to energy conservation.
Benefits of adopting the product
By using Zip Chain Actuator to tilt the end of the conveyor, it is possible to adjust the optimal input position according to the height of the box, significantly reducing the burden on the worker. In addition, the direct lifting and lowering method using a chain makes positioning easier, and stable control is possible compared to commercially available simple pantograph types, leading to improved work efficiency and safety.
