Zip Chain Actuator are used for stacking products, automating loading and unloading work.
Zip Chain Actuator
overview
We automated the manual loading and unloading process by adopting Zip Chain Actuator in the stacking stage of products flowing from the conveyor belt. Combined with encoders, this enables high-precision multi-point stopping, allowing the actuators to be raised and lowered according to the height of the products moving along the conveyor belt. This has contributed to reducing the workload, shortening processing time, and increasing the number of stacks possible.
Problem
Traditionally, automating the manual process of stacking products presented a major challenge due to insufficient space for installing the stacking mechanism. This space constraint was overcome by adopting a low-Zip Chain Actuator. Furthermore, the multi-point stopping function enabled optimal automation, and the low-profile design allowed for even higher stacking heights.
Adopted products
Zip Chain Actuator
Unprecedented high-speed, high-frequency, low-profile, long-life actuator
Zip Chain Actuator is an actuator that performs linear motion by interlocking two chains like a zipper.
The compact body design achieves overwhelming space savings compared to conventional linear actuator.
It is compatible with high-speed and high-frequency operation and is capable of highly accurate multi-point stopping.
Compared to hydraulic and pneumatic cylinders, it can significantly reduce the amount of power used, contributing to energy conservation.
Benefits of adopting the product
By combining Zip Chain Actuator and an encoder, high-precision multi-point stopping became possible, enabling dispensing at the optimal position according to the product height. This automated the stacking process, eliminating heavy labor for workers and significantly reducing working time.
