The adoption of Miter Gear Box enables a more compact pipe manufacturing system and reliable synchronous operation.
Miter Gear Box
overview
By introducing Miter Gear Box into the pipe-forming equipment, we were able to reduce the number of motors and make the track structure more compact. Furthermore, it became possible to easily synchronize multiple motors mechanically, eliminating the need for electrically synchronized control.
Problem
Because the pipe manufacturing equipment used multiple motors, the device had become quite large.
Furthermore, because each motor was electrically controlled for synchronous operation, the synchronization accuracy tended to deteriorate due to minute torque differences and timing discrepancies between the motors. In addition, the number of control devices and wiring required to synchronize multiple motors increased, making the design and wiring work more complex and increasing the burden of maintenance work. Sometimes, it was necessary to manually align the motor shaft and the worm input shaft, and even a slight misalignment would cause abnormal noise and vibration, requiring time for readjustment.
Adopted products
Miter Gear Box
A high-performance, high-efficiency, general-purpose spiral bevel gearbox with a right-angle shaft. It allows for a 90° change in the direction of force transmission, or a 90° change in direction for left/right (up/down) distribution.
Benefits of adopting the product
By introducing Miter Gear Box we were able to reduce the number of motors used, significantly reducing the space occupied by the drive unit. Furthermore, compared to synchronization using electrical control, the likelihood of misalignment during load fluctuations was reduced. As a result, we achieved a more compact device, improved maintainability, and reduced design and assembly man-hours simultaneously.
