Layout

The rotation of the hydraulic motor is transmitted to the drum through the engagement of a cam clutch, winding up the wire.
When the hydraulic motor is rotated in reverse at a constant speed, the drum is pulled by the weight of the wire and waves. When the speed at which the wire is pulled becomes faster than the rotation speed of the motor, the cam clutch engages.
Purpose of use and operation explanation
When winding the drum
The rotation of the hydraulic motor is transmitted to the drum through the engagement of a cam clutch, winding up the wire.
When casting the rig (when unwinding the wire)
When the rig is dropped into the sea, the hydraulic motor is rotated in the opposite direction to the winding direction.
At this time, the cam clutch will idle.
The wire is pulled by its own weight and the resistance of the waves, causing the rig to try to move out to sea at a faster speed than when it was first cast.
