1. outer race are centered using an oil-retaining metal bearing between outer race and shaft, and the radial load on outer race is also supported by this metal bearing. Therefore, the shaft length should be long enough so that the metal bearing comes into full contact with the shaft (at least at the end of outer race).
2. Shaft diameter tolerance Finish the shaft within the dimensional tolerances shown in the table.

3. We recommend a dimensional tolerance of H6 or H7 for the holes of sprockets, etc., that are attached to the sleeve.
4. outer race cannot be directly attached to the left and right shafts to be used as a coupling. In this case, be sure to use it in combination with a flexible coupling (such as Roller chain coupling).
5. There are two inner race meshing directions: right-hand meshing (RH) and left-hand meshing (LH). When ordering, be sure to specify inner race meshing direction as viewed from the direction of the arrow on the previous page. Be sure to check the meshing direction before installation and operation.
6. Use JIS B1301-1959 (old JIS) parallel key type 2. Note that outer race keyway dimensions do not conform to the relationship between shaft diameter and key dimensions specified in JIS.
7. When using in the medium to high speed range, care must be taken to prevent heat generation due to idling. If the temperature of the Cam Clutch outer race exceeds 70°C, sufficient life cannot be expected. Either select a different series or change the operating conditions.
8. When using for indexing, oil lubrication is recommended.
9. Do not apply a thrust load to the Cam Clutch. If a thrust load is to be applied to the Cam Clutch, provide a separate device to receive the thrust load.
