This is a method of use in which the wheel spins freely and repeatedly, similar to the freewheeling motion of a car.

Purpose of use and operation explanation

Gas engines and gas turbines are used to generate electricity using city gas or liquefied natural gas.
Generally, gas turbines perform turning operation when starting and stopping.
When the gas turbine starts, the cam clutch engages to receive drive from the turning gear motor.
The gas turbine is then driven at a low speed. When the gas turbine starts up, it idles.
Cut the connection between the gas turbine and the turning gear motor.
When the gas turbine is stopped, the turning gear motor is started and the rotation speed of the gas turbine gradually decreases.
When the rotation speed matches that of the turning gear motor, the cam clutch engages and the gas turbine starts rotating at a low speed again.
Gas engines and gas turbines are rotated before and after operation to remove distortion from the rotating shaft or to remove distortion
To prevent this, turning is required.

It is possible to select a cam clutch that is compatible with the two types of installation examples above.
In both installation examples 1 and 2, the cam is not in contact with inner race and outer race while the turbine is operating, achieving a long service life.

In installation example 1, the inner inner race of the cam clutch rotates freely at high speed when the turbine is operating, but the cam lifts off (floats up) and inner race and outer outer race are no longer in contact.

In installation example 2, the outer ring of the cam outer race rotates freely at high speed when the turbine is operating, but the cam lifts off (floats up) and inner race and outer outer race are no longer in contact.
