Trial run

Before installing the chain and starting actual operation, perform a test run. Check the following items during the test run.

1. Before the test run

  • (1) spring clip or split pin at the joint is installed correctly.
  • (2) The chain slack is correct.
  • (3) The lubrication is proper.
  • (4) The chain is not hitting the case, cover, etc.

2. Trial run

  • (1) There are no abnormal noises.
  • (2) The chain is not vibrating.
  • (3) The chain is not riding on the sprocket.
  • (4) The chain is not wrapped around the sprocket.
  • (5) The rails and sprockets are installed in good condition.
  • (6) The rollers rotate smoothly.
  • (7) There are no stiff points on the chain.

⚠Caution​

After installation, test the unit by turning it on intermittently several times with no load, and then start continuous no-load operation.

Before test driving, oil the chain to allow each part to settle in.
