Allowable screw shaft rotation speed

For traveling nut specifications where the screw shaft rotates, the rotation speed of the screw shaft should be equal to or less than the value calculated using the formula below.

If the allowable screw shaft rotation speed is exceeded, increase the jack frame number and recalculate.
(Please be sure to consider this when using the standard stroke of the H speed with an input rotation speed of 900 r/min or more, or when using a stroke longer than the standard stroke.)

NC = 96×n×d×106 L2

N C: Allowable screw shaft rotation speed r/min

d: Thread root diameter mm (See Major Specifications page for each product.)

n: Support coefficient

  • (1) Free shaft end: n = 0.36
  • (2) Shaft end support: n = 1.56

L: Distance between supports mm (See the dimension table for each frame number.)

NS = N R

N S: Screw shaft rotation speed r/min

N: Input rotation speed r/min

R: Worm speed ratio

Make sure that N C > N S.

The screw shaft rotation speed NS is

NS = 1200 8 = 150r/min

NC = 96×1.56×51.3×106 22372 = 1535r/min

NC = 1535r/min > NS = 150r/min ... OK
