MG-R Series: Handle with care

  • 1. This series is an MG series cam clutch equipped with an oil reservoir. It has excellent heat dissipation properties, making it ideal for preventing reverse rotation of conveyors used in continuous idling (mounted on the intermediate shaft of a reducer).
  • 2. outer race is fixed with a torque arm, and inner race is attached to the intermediate shaft of the reducer.
  • 3. When installing the torque arm, use the tapped holes on the end face of outer race and securely install it with bolts of strength classification 10.9 or higher. When fixing the torque arm to the base, leave a clearance of 2 to 3 mm as shown in the diagram below. Please note that fixing it too rigidly may cause malfunction.
  • 4. When installing the clutch on the shaft, be sure to use an end plate and use a packing and seal washer to prevent oil leakage from the end of the shaft (see installation diagram). Please prepare the end plate, packing, and seal washer yourself when using the product.
  • 5. When installing the oil reservoir to outer race, be sure to use the packing. Also, make sure that one of the plugs on the clutch outer race is on the bottom (the drain plug), and the oil reservoir's oil fill plug is on top.
  • 6. If using in a dusty environment, take additional dust prevention measures to protect the oil seal.
  • 7. inner race meshing direction, as seen from the arrow direction in the product page's structural diagram, has two possibilities: meshing when rotating clockwise (CW) (RH) and meshing when rotating counterclockwise (CCW) (LH). Always check the meshing direction when installing and operating the product.
