BR Series (Open Type) Handle with Care
Open type
- 1. Temporarily assemble only outer race and check the installation accuracy. Refer to the table on the right for outer race installation accuracy. Please note that poor installation accuracy may cause damage to the Cam Clutch.
- 2. When using oil lubrication, the oil level should be up to the outer periphery of the bottom side of inner race (see installation example). Be careful not to add too much oil, as this may cause heat generation.
- 3. When using in a reducer, etc., make sure the structure does not allow gear oil to get into the cam clutch. In particular, be aware that if gear oil containing extreme pressure additives gets into the cam clutch, the life of the cam clutch will be significantly shortened.
BR Series (Package Type) Handle with Care
Package Type
- 1. Torque arms, couplings, etc. attached to outer race must be securely attached using bolts with a strength classification of 10.9 or higher.
- 2. Be sure to leave a clearance of about 2 mm between the torque arm and the torque arm rotation stopper. If the torque arm is fixed rigidly, twisting will occur inside the cam clutch, which may result in damage, so be careful.
- 3. If the shaft expands and contracts due to heat, such as in the turning device of a hot air blower, the structure should be such that this can be absorbed on the coupling side.
- 4. If a thrust load is applied to the Cam Clutch, provide a separate device to bear the thrust load.
- 5. Grease is already packed in before shipping.
