technical data Before Use of Drive chain
Characteristics and points to note regarding roller chain transmission
A large reduction ratio can be achieved (generally up to 1:7).
A long center distance (usually 4m or less) can be achieved. There is a high degree of freedom in center distance.
multi-axis shaft transmission is possible. Both sides can be used.
Easy to install and replace (easy cut and connect)
The chain is supported at short shaft distances, and when the shaft distance is short, it can be driven even if the shafts are vertical.
The sprocket diameter can be made smaller than with a belt for the same torque.
Since force is transmitted through a large number of teeth, sprocket teeth wear is more advantageous than gears.
It has higher shock absorption capacity than gears.
High transmission efficiency.
There is speed fluctuation due to polygonal movement of the sprocket (this effect can be reduced by increasing the number of teeth on the sprocket).
When transmitting power, a lubrication method appropriate for the speed is required.
It will stretch due to wear, and you will need to consider adjusting the slack when it stretches.
Care must be taken with centering and shaft parallelism. Weak against thrust loads.
When unpacking and installing, it must be held in place to prevent twisting or tangling.
