The electric furnace steelmaking method artificially generates an electric discharge called an arc discharge, which is similar to lightning, and uses the heat from the discharge to melt the iron and remove impurities such as oxygen and sulfur.
Since this steelmaking method mainly recycles iron, the raw material is iron scrap, and it uses less energy than the blast furnace method.
It reduces power consumption by 85% and carbon dioxide emissions by 92%.
It would be more efficient if the pressing could be done quickly after forming, but the pressing cannot keep up with the speed of forming, and the heated object (billet)
Therefore, if the billet is passed from molding to pressing through a heating furnace, it can be pressed without cooling down.
The walking beam heats and transports the billet from above and below, making it more efficient than a regular conveyor.
Power Cylinder oscillates and expands horizontally, and is used to efficiently circulate the billet between the regenerative burners.
