1. Appearance and wear
Conducting an investigation on a part-by-part basis

3. Damage
Estimation of the cause of damage
The fracture mechanism is estimated through macroscopic observation of the fracture surface.
We will estimate the background and causes of the breakage and propose countermeasures.
Actual damage investigation example
After observing the fracture surface of the broken pin, it was determined that the cause was fatigue failure initiated by pitting corrosion.
- It is estimated that fatigue failure is progressing in other pins as well, so we propose the following measures:
- (1) The pins have been changed to a more corrosion-resistant material.
- (2) Review of oil supply amount and interval to maintain oil film on the pin surface
