Global Series

The Global Series is a motor that complies with global directives, standards, and regulations.

We provide motors that comply with CE standards for Europe, UL standards for North America, and CCC certification for China.

• ・What is CE compliance?

  Products exported to Europe cannot be exported to the European market unless they bear the CE mark, which certifies that they comply with the safety requirements stipulated in the European CE Directive.

  CE compliance means that the product has a CE mark affixed to it, which certifies that the product complies with the CE directive.

• ・Declaration Conformity

  We provide the self-declaration of conformity required for CE compliance.

• ・What is UL compliance?

  UL stands for Underwriters Laboratories Inc., a leading safety testing standard in the United States.

  UL compliance means that the motor used is UL certified and the UL mark certifying UL certification is affixed to the product itself.

  The C-UR model is certified and complies with both UL and CSA standards.

• ・What is CCC compliance?

  CCC is a compulsory certification system in China, and in order to export small-output electric motors of 1.1kW or less to China, they must display the CCC mark, which certifies compulsory certification.

1. For Europe

Products exported to Europe cannot be exported to the European market unless they bear the CE mark, which certifies that they comply with the safety requirements stipulated in the European EC Directives.

Target directive: Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU

Applicable standard: IEC60034-1:2017

Motors with a capacity of 0.12kW to less than 0.75kW must meet the efficiency standard value IE2 (IEC60034-1:2017) of the European high-efficiency regulation "COMMISION REGULATION (EU) 2019/1781 European Commission Regulation (2019/10/1)."

In addition, motors of 0.75 kW or more must meet the efficiency standard value IE3 (IEC60034-1:2017) of the European high-efficiency regulation "COMMISION REGULATION (EU) 2019/1781 European Commission Regulation (2019/10/1)."

2. For North America

In North America, there are safety standards set by UL (Underwriters Laboratories), a US underwriters testing laboratory, as well as safety standards for Canada set by CSA (Canadian Standards Association), and cUL models comply with both UL and CSA standards.

In addition, motors with a capacity of 0.75kW to 375kW must meet the IE3 (NEMA Premium) standard of the US high-efficiency regulation "EISA (Energy Independence and Security Act)" and the IE3 (CSA C390 efficiency class) standard of the Canadian high-efficiency regulation "EEAct (Energy Efficiency Act)."

Voltage compatibility

1. 400V class voltage doubler

(1) Compatible capacity: 0.2kW/0.4kW

This 400V class motor is compatible with three ratings: 400V/50Hz, 400V/60Hz, and 440/60Hz.

*Please prepare a separate wiring for the brake that is 200V.

(2) Compatible capacity: 0.75kW

This 400V class motor is compatible with four ratings: 380V/50Hz, 400V/50Hz, 400V/60Hz, and 440V/60Hz.
