technical data High-speed lifter Zip Chain Lifter Selection

Points to note when considering

Acceleration and deceleration times

  • ・ Zip Chain Lifter has a fast lifting speed, so inverter control is essential and sufficient acceleration and deceleration time must be provided. Sudden acceleration and stopping may result in poor stopping accuracy and vibration of the workpiece. If the lifter vibrates when starting and stopping due to the load conditions, allow a longer acceleration and deceleration time.
  • ・ Zip Chain Lifter speed is the maximum speed. When calculating the lifting time, please include the acceleration and deceleration time.
  • ・Servo motor drive is recommended when further reduction in lifting time, high frequency operation, multi-point positioning, linked operation, etc. are required. Please contact us as we will accommodate your desired servo motor manufacturer.

Inverter control

  • ・A large regenerative current is generated when the voltage drops, so please provide an inverter regenerative resistor with sufficient capacity based on your operating conditions. Please consult with the inverter manufacturer regarding the capacity of the regenerative resistor.
  • We recommend using an inverter with a capacity one frame larger than the motor.
  • - Create a sequence that activates the brake when the inverter trips.

Fall prevention

  • Zip Chain Lifter uses a motor with a non-excitation actuated brake. If you are providing your own servo motor, please use the brake-equipped keyway shaft specification. Also, be sure to use the maintenance bar when performing maintenance.

Servo motor control

  • - A large regenerative current is generated when descending, so please provide a regenerative resistor with sufficient capacity based on the conditions of use. Please consult with the servo motor manufacturer about the capacity of the regenerative resistor.
  • ・Even in an emergency, do not use the motor's built-in mechanical brake for braking. Be sure to use a control logic that activates the mechanical brake after deceleration by the dynamic brake. For details, refer to the motor manufacturer's instruction manual.

Collision avoidance

  • - Do not use the chain in a way that applies impact loads to the lifting parts such as the top frame or pantograph arm, such as by hitting the chain against the top frame. Use the chain within the stroke range. In particular, do not use the chain against the top frame when lowering the chain, or do anything that may obstruct the lowering of the top frame. This may cause serious damage such as chain breakage.
