Roller chain coupling lubrication

Chain coupling lubrication is divided into three types depending on the rotational speed used (see kW ratings table).

  • Lubrication type I...Apply grease regularly (once a month).
  • Lubrication type II: Apply grease regularly (once a week), or attach a case and fill with grease.
  • Lubrication type III...Attach a case and fill with grease.

In particular, for lubrication type III, the grease is pressed against the inner wall of the case due to centrifugal force, which can easily cause deterioration of lubrication performance, so please use grease with excellent mechanical stability and lubrication performance. We recommend the following brands.

The required amount of grease to be filled is shown in the table below.

When filling the amount shown below, there will be a small amount of grease leakage at the beginning of operation, but it will soon stabilize.
