This page describes general matters regarding the handling of the EWJ, EWJM(R), EW, EWM(R), SWJ, SWJM(R), SW, SWM(R), and TD series.

2. Storage

If you are not going to use the reducer right away, store it taking note of the following points.

2-1. Storage location

  • Store indoors in a clean, dry place.

Do not store outdoors or in places subject to humidity, dust, extreme temperature changes, or corrosive gases.

2-2. Storage position

At the time of shipment, the product is packed and shipped according to the installation direction. Please store the product in the correct installation direction (upside down, etc.).

In the case of special installation, the grease in the bearing may mix with the lubricating oil and dissolve.

2-3. Storage period

  • (1) The storage period should be no longer than six months.
  • (2) If the storage period is more than six months, special rust prevention specifications will be required. Please contact us.
  • (3) For export products, export rust prevention specifications are required. Please contact us.

2-4. Use after storage

  • (1) Non-metallic parts such as oil seals, oil gauges, and oil filler plugs are susceptible to deterioration due to environmental factors such as temperature and ultraviolet rays. Therefore, after long-term storage, inspect them before starting operation and replace any parts found to be deteriorated with new ones.
  • (2) When starting operation, check for any abnormal sounds, vibrations, or heat. If any abnormalities are found, contact the store where you purchased the product immediately.
