Selection example
For operating conditions that do not fall under Selection Tables 1 and 2 for the EWJ, EW, SWJ, and SW series (Selection Table 3), and for the TD series, please select using the following procedure.

Selection
1. Determining the correction factor
Machine load classification table (pure liquid) = uniform load: U, and from Service factor table (Table 1), Sf = 1.0.
2. Determine design kW and corrected torque
Correction torque is calculated from Service factor and load torque.
Corrected torque = 4000N・m × 1.0 = 4000N・m
3.Determining the reduction ratio
The reduction ratio is calculated from the motor rotation speed and output rotation speed.
Reduction ratio = 1450 r/min ÷ 24 r/min ≒ 60
4. Deciding on size
Select a size that satisfies the corrected torque from the kW ratings table kW ratings table
Size: TD175 Nominal reduction ratio: 60 (output torque 4785N・m at input 1450 r/min)
For the TD series, the equivalent heat capacity was confirmed.

With an ambient temperature of 30°C and the temperature correction coefficient table (Table 3), the temperature correction coefficient f1 is 1.0.
Equivalent heat capacity = 4000N・m × 1.0 = 4000N・m
5. Check the axle load
An axial load is generated on the output shaft, and check whether it is within allowable load.
Axial load: 18000N < Allowable axial load = 34255N (Output hollow: H output 59 r/min or less)
6. Calculating the required input kW
Check the required motor kW using the TD175 - 1/60 kW ratings table.
Required input kW = 14.2kW x 4000N・m 4785N・m x 1.0 = 11.87kW, so a 15kW motor is sufficient
