This section describes general handling of Gear Motor, Hypoid Motor, and Croise Motor.

Grease lubrication (Gear Motor, Hypoid Motor, mini series)
1. Grease lubrication
Grease lubrication is used.
2. Grease pre-filled
The specified amount of lead-free grease is filled into the product before shipping, so please use it as is.
3. Grease change
In most cases, there is no need to change or replenish the grease, but changing it every 20,000 hours will help extend the life of the product. Grease changes are available at our repair shop for a fee, so please feel free to ask us for this service.

Oil lubrication (Croise Motor)
1. Oil lubrication
The lubrication method is oil lubrication.
2. Oil filled
The product is shipped with the specified amount of oil (Daphne Alpha Oil TE260) included, so please use it as is.
3. Oil change
- - Reducer frame numbers 13 to 28 have a sealed structure, so in most cases there is no need to change or replenish the lubricating oil. However, if the lubricating oil deteriorates rapidly due to usage conditions, you can expect to extend its life by changing it about every 2,500 hours.
- ・For reducer frame numbers 32 to 50, please perform maintenance as follows:
- (1) Replace the filter for the first time after 1,000 hours of operation or three months, whichever comes first.
- (2) After the second time, replace the filter every 5,000 hours or every year, whichever is shorter, depending on the operating conditions.
4. Pressure Vent
- - Reducer frame numbers 13 to 28 are not required due to their sealed structure.
- - For reducer frame numbers 32 to 50, make sure that the installation direction is the standard direction, and be sure to install the included pressure vent. After installation is complete, check the oil level with the oil gauge.
If you require a different installation method than the standard one, please specify this when placing your order.

Note) When using the recommended lubricants in the table above, maintenance is
(1) The first replacement should be made 500 hours after starting operation or three months, whichever is shorter.
(2) After the second time, replace the filter every 2,500 hours or every six months, whichever comes first, depending on the operating conditions.

Regardless of the motor kW or reduction ratio, reducers with the same frame number in each series use the same amount of oil. - Note 2) For installation No. 5 of the HCMA/HCMR series, the oil amount above is 60% more (approximate oil amount).
