Problem
The large sprockets we previously used were manufactured using laser processing, and the process of removing distortion was difficult.
Additionally, stainless steel chains tend to stretch easily and there was a risk of them breaking.

Pin gear drive Unit
This is a gear rack with rollers that transmits power through the meshing of pin gears and pins (rollers).
It has the same function as a gear or rack and pinion, and is a transmission part that converts rotation into linear motion or rotation into another type of rotational motion by combining a pin-mechanical wheel and rack with a special gear.
Benefits of adopting the product
Although the cost increased compared to the parts used in the conventional method, the need to correct distortion on the sprocket was eliminated, there was no longer any risk of the stainless steel chain breaking due to stretching, and most importantly, Pin gear drive unit was easy to install on the device, so overall costs were reduced.
Pin gear drive unit is also available in stainless steel, so it can be used safely in food manufacturing machinery.
